After Lance won his 3rd Yellow jersey in 2001, UT approached his team about creating a dedicated Tour mini-site to track his accomplishments and educate fans on the history of the event.

The outcome was "Yellow", and features included:

- Profiles from each win year: Tour Stages, Stage Wins, Team USPS, and the Bike Lance rode.

- Educational sections on the Tour's History, Timeline, Jerseys, and Records.
