Team UT Wknd Sports Update

NASCAR:
On Saturday night at Atlanta in the Nationwide Series race Dale Jr. started from the pole and finished in 3rd place, and Kyle finished in 2nd place. Kyle remains the overall points leader. On Sunday in the Cup race Martin started from the pole and finished in 26th. Kyle finished in 13th and Dale Jr. in 17th.

IndyCar:
Scott, Danica, and Sarah are off until September 19th at Twin Motegi, Japan – where Danica won last year.

David Beckham:
David scored in the 80th minute to give the Galaxy a 1-0 lead and the win over Chivas on Saturday night. The Galaxy move to within 2 points of Houston and the Western Conference lead.

NASCAR:
On Saturday Kyle had his record-setting top-2 finish streak broken by finishing in 3rd place at Michigan in the Nationwide race. On Sunday, Dale Jr. had the victory in sight but ran out of laps and finished in 3rd place. Martin finished in 21st and Kyle in 23rd.

“Steeler” Joins Team UT

We’d like to welcome “Steeler” to Team UT. Born in Kentucky, but now representing Chicago, this 9-week old dalamatian comes to us with mad skills. He’s an early riser, avid walker and runner, has great energy bursts, and a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

IndyCar:
By winning at Mid-Ohio today, Scott captured his 20th overall Indycar Series win – the most all-time in the Series. He also regains the overall points lead. Danica got caught in an accident early and finished in 19th, but remains in 5th place in the standings.

Amanda Beard

Team UT is proud to officially announce working with 7-time Olympic Medalist and USA Swimming Star – Amanda Beard – on her new digital strategy. We’ll be developing a new official web site, and branded social media channels for Amanda.

Amanda has competed in four straight Olympics for Team USA, and most recently was a Co-Captain for the US Women’s Team during the Beijing Games. Out of the pool Amanda has been featured in FHM, and the SI Swimsuit Issue.
