Scott picked up his 18th Indycar win, just one short of Sam Hornish Jr’s record of 19. He also moves back to 1st in the overall standings. Danica picked up her 4th straight top-5 finish and moves to 4th in the standings.

At the Indy 500 Danica posted a career best finish of 3rd yesterday, as did Sarah in 17th. Scott came home in 6th.

Athletes are busy people – training, fulfilling sponsor requests, interviews, game time, etc., so it’s not surprising they don’t have to time to tweet all day and all night. It’s ok if the main personality doesn’t do all the posts, but don’t try and fool your audience when other people also post.

IndyCar:
Scott, Danica, and Sarah continuted to run practice laps through out the week, and have only one session left this coming Friday before the 500. Danica officialy got on Twitter this weekend also, you can follow her at @DanicaPatrick. Her account is an example of what you can do with a branded background with sponsor involvement.
IRL:
In Indy 500 pole qualifying on Saturday – Scott posted the 5th fastest time, and Danica the 10th fastest. On Sunday, Sarah qualified for her 8th 500 with a 21st fastest qualifying time.
Danica is also participating in the Body By Milk education program, which includes the famous milk mustache ad.

There have been a lot of articles praising athletes, celebrities, their agents, social media experts, instructors that taught them to tweet. A couple things have happened though – the experts have missed a couple things along the way to enjoying all their praise – namely using the Twitter background as an advertising billboard.
