We recently talked with Tod Leonard of the San Diego Union-Tribune for a story he was doing on athlete sites, and he also includes comments from several of our partners in the feature article out today.
We’ve been involved with producing athlete sites since 1999, and for as much as the category has changed it has also stayed the same in many ways. We’re in the process of updating a white paper on athlete sites that we wrote in 2002, and we’ll be posting the new version for download in the next two weeks.
Duke to 6-0:
Duke improved to 6-0 on the season with wins over Southern Illinois (83-58), Michigan (71-56), and Montana (78-58). They’ll be in action on Friday vs. Duquense at Cameron Indoor.

With the start of the new college basketball season off and running now, we thought it would be a good time to profile the site we did for the Duke University Men’s Basketball team located at www.DukeBluePlanet.com. When the site launched in beta format last November it became the first dedicated site for a college basketball program (men or women).
We’ve just launched a new version of our main studio site. We went back and forth a couple times on what direction to take on the concept. In the end, we decided on putting the primary focus on our clients work upfront. We’ve cut down on the fluff content and kept it simple and clean.

NASCAR Recap:
The 2008 NASCAR season ended last night with the Ford 400 in Homestead – Martin led the way with a 10th place finish, Kyle was in 19th, and Dale Jr. had problems late to end him in 41st. Kyle ended the year in 10th, Dale Jr. in 12th, and Martin in 15th.
