Use Your Twitter Background

We’ve posted a couple times about the value of using the background space provided by Twitter as your own advertising billboard, and one of the questions from a lot of people has been what about all the users on mobile or apps that don’t see the background.

Rapleaf published a study yesterday which shows that 65% of all tweets still come from the web – which means the background is clearly in play for user’s attention. In fact, TweetDeck only accounts for 4% of all tweets.

Get with your team and map out a strategy for taking advantage of the background space – proper design and change-out schedule. Just this week we worked with Danica’s sponsor Tissot to continue her brand story through the background by creating four designs showcasing her upcoming spread in the September issue of GQ Magazine that will change out over the next four weeks.
