This week a contingent of players on the Tour led the ouster of commissioner Carolyn Bivens in hopes of finding a new leader that will lead them to the promise land of more events, more sponsors, more TV coverage, more earnings, and more overall sporting relevance.
NASCAR:
On Friday night Kyle finished in 2nd place in the Dollar General 300. On Saturday night Dale Jr. finished in 15th, Martin in 16th, and Kyle in 33rd.
IndyCar:
At Toronto today Scott finished in 4th and Danica in 6th.
Jennie Finch:
Jennie helped Team USA capture the Canada Cup International Women’s Fastball Tournament this past week.
Our team headed out to Chicagoland Speedway yesterday afternoon to watch our guys (Dale Jr., Kyle Busch, Martin Truex Jr.) in qualifying for Saturday night’s race. Kyle will start 6th, Dale Jr., 13th, and Martin in 21st). Big news this week as Martin will be moving to the #56 NAPA car with Michael Waltrip Racing next year.
Looking forward to going to the races tonight and tomorrow – hopefully we’ll be in victory lane with one of the guys after the races.
Team UT would like to send out a special congrats to Scott & Emma Dixon, on the birth of their new baby girl – Poppy.
NASCAR:
In Friday night’s Subway 250 at Daytona, Kyle finished in 2nd place and Dale Jr. in 40th. Kyle remains the overall Nationwide points leader. In Saturday night’s Coke Zero 400 Kyle got turned while leading in the final lap and finished in 14th, Martin finished in 25th and Dale Jr. in 39th. Expect the announcement on Tuesday that Martin will be moving to Michael Waltrip Racing next year.
IndyCar:
Today at Watkins Glen, Scott finished in 3rd place and Danica in 11th. Scott leads the overall points and Danica is in 5th.
