Coming off her history making 1st win, Danica’s site had record traffic numbers this year, and AOL announced today that she topped their Year End Hot Search list for the Athlete category.
We recently talked with Tod Leonard of the San Diego Union-Tribune for a story he was doing on athlete sites, and he also includes comments from several of our partners in the feature article out today.
We’ve been involved with producing athlete sites since 1999, and for as much as the category has changed it has also stayed the same in many ways. Coach K uses 40 words ranging from Balance to Ownership to Standards, and offers a combination of personal and basketball experiences to explain their meaning and takeaway through his eyes.

Things didn’t go as planned this wknd for the greatest LPGA player of all-time. With only her 10th missed cut on Tour in 303 events, Annika Sorenstam’s LPGA career came to an end on Friday at the ADT Championship. She’ll play competitively two more times this year (Lexus Cup – as the Captain of the International squad held Nov. 28-30; Dubail Ladies Masters held Dec. 11-14), but for an athlete that did so much in the US for the game of golf it’s a shame her Tour, Sponsors, and the media haven’t given her a better send-off.
